Teach Them While They Are Young. NPC Launches MW2063 Comic Book
The comic book will help young ones start understanding and embracing MW2063 vision at a tender age.
A newly launched comic book is being touted as one of the best ways to influence and attract children towards MW2063.
National Planning Commission (NPC) says it plans to change the mindset of primary school learners at a tender age.
The Commission intends to distribute the MW2063 comic book to all 6,000 primary school for learners to have a big vision for their future and the country’s development.
NPC director general Dr. Thomas Munthali said: “Our plan is to give out 100 copies to each school."
The Commission has only produced 10, 000 copies emphasizing they are not enough and appealing to development partners to assist producing more copies.
Ministry of Education Secretary for Education Dr. Mangani Katundu said the comic book, which comes in different languages will help "young ones start understanding and embracing MW2063 vision.”
UNICEF Country representative Shadreck Omol said UNICEF expressed committment to be thoroughly involved in the development aspirations of the country.
“I am so happy to see young children citing some of the enablers in the MW2023 blue print by heart through their poems, songs and drama, that’s what we want."
The MW2063 comic book was developed in 2022 by NPC and Ministry of Education.
